Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a singer who was born in Newark, New Jersey on the 9th of August 1963. The parents of her are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick also sings. The singer began her singing career in a choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when she was a child at the age of 15 was singing backing vocals professionally with their mother in Chaka Khans 1978 hit Im Every Woman. The singer went on to sing backing vocals for Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her own mother and was briefly models for the front cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. Her work as the vocalist featured in New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record labels, including Arista and Arista, which she was signed in 1982, and was with them for the rest of her life with them. The year 1985 saw Whitney Houston's first album turned out to be the best-selling debut album ever. Singles such as The Most Beautiful Love of All, How Do I Know if You Give Love and the song Saving the Day and All My Love were all released from the album. These songs allowed Houston to reach seven US top tens, which surpassed even those of The Beatles. The album came out in 1987, and it sold over 25 million copies across the globe. Whitney, her album Whitney was released in 1987 and featuring the popular tracks Where Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, built upon her previous success. But it was The Bodyguard (1996) that made her one of the best-selling albums in pop music. Although the film was not very well received, nor was her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the number one spot on both the singles and album charts across the US for months. She sold 44,000,000 copies. The same year, she married Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in the month of March, 1993. About this time her well-documented drug use started and in 1996, she was using drugs daily.

Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she's more commonly known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter as well as CNN's political reporter.
