Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actress, director, producer, educator, playwright as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British, as is her mother is is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother work at play rehearsals. She appeared in many commercials as a young child. Anna moved to Toronto in the fall of 1999 to pursue her acting talents. She eventually settled down to Los Angeles (California) over the next decade.
